Psyindia has partnered with Pearson Academy India to provided training in world’s renowned clinical and educational assessments.

First part of the workshop will focus on Learning Disability Assessment- which involves two of Pearson’s flagship products Dyslexia Screening Test – Junior (DST-J) and Ravens Progressive Matrices (CPM/CVS). Second part of the workshop will focus on Learning Disability Intervention- which involves one of the best phonological awareness (auditory training) program, Launch Into Reading Success (LIRS).

Raven’s Progressive Matrices and Vocabulary Scales is one of the most widely used tests in India and around the world for assessing child’s level of intelligence. Dyslexia Screening Test (DST) is a powerful screener used globally and designed to identify children who are at risk for dyslexia. It enables in early identification of children who may be at risk for dyslexia, guides in creating an approachable and understanding classroom environment and helps to attain timely professional help for their children with dyslexia”
The series of Raven’s Progressive Matrices and Dyslexia Screening Tests are scientifically developed, well-researched and are widely used by many renowned schools and psychologists. The children are assessed on a series of tasks which target to evaluate accuracy and fluency in reading, writing, and spelling. In addition, tasks also focus on motor coordination, attention span, reasoning ability and vocabulary. These tasks appear to children as interesting since they involve identifying pictures, solving puzzles, and answering simple questions.

Launch into Reading Success provides a programme to teach the phonological awareness skills designed for use by classroom and Special Needs teachers. It is a carefully sequenced auditory training programme beginning with single words as units of sound and concluding with linkage. It should be used with children, aged 2 to 12 years, with mild to severe indicators of literacy/learning problems.
