Outline of the course: (Filing up the vacant seats of MPhil 2011 batch)
· Duration: Two years regular
· Total Number of seats: 12 (will be filled against vacant seats)
· Medium of instruction: English
· Tuition Fees: Rs. 1, 00,000/- (Rs. One Lakh only) per year + other fees as applicable.

Entry requirement:
Minimum educational requirement for admission to this course will be M.A. /M.Sc in Psychology full time degree
from a university recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate, preferably with special
paper in Clinical Psychology/Applied Psychology. For SC/ST/OBC category, minimum of 50% marks in
aggregate is essential, as per GOI.
Admission Procedure
Admissions will be based purely on the merits obtained in the entrance test. Candidates will be selected by a
selection committee on the basis of written entrance examination. List of candidates selected/admitted will be
displayed on the website and will be informed through email and phone calls.
In the entrance examination the candidates will be asked 50 multiple choice questions (1 ½ hrs, 100 marks),
essay writing (½ hr) + group Discussion (½ hr) (30 marks) + Interview (20 marks). The question paper will have
questions from general psychology, clinical psychology, social psychology and abnormal psychology, statistics,
research methods.
Guidelines to fill up the application form:
Duly filled application form (to be downloaded from the university website www.gfsu.edu.in) with a demand
draft of Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable), in favor of “The Registrar, Gujarat Forensic Sciences University”,
should reach to the address given below on or before 3rd September 2011. True copies of the documents listed
below must be attached with the application form:
· Copy of Final mark sheet of M.A. /M.Sc degree
· Copy of School leaving certificate
· Duly filled admit card (original)
· Reference letter and No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Head of the Department (for in-service
candidates)
· Copy of Cast Certificate
