Clinical & Counselling Psychology Internship

Duration: 2 Months (240 hours)

For online internship-Minimum 120 hours of online sessions (case observations and handling) and 120 hours of following activities-

  • specialized workshops (psychological tests and psychotherapy and counselling techniques)
  • demonstrations
  • case conferences
  • case studies
  • role plays
  • group discussions
  • simulations
  • psychological tests
  • exercises
  • report writing, etc.

In addition, there will be theoretical input related to orientation to internship, the concept of mental health-different perspectives, child and adolescent disorders, adult mental health issues, case history taking, mental status examinations, assessment and diagnosis, psychological tests- intelligence, personality, and rating scales, classification systems, psychotherapy and counselling techniques including Indian system, etc.

Counselling psychology can opt for exposure in career counselling, also. It will include the assessments for career counselling (personality, aptitude, interest and work values) along with counselling techniques.

Supervisors: Dr Dheradra Kumar (Chief Mentor), Dr Ashwini Pundeer, & Dr Sonia Vats (All three supervisors are RCI Registered Clinical Psychologists). All three have M. Phil in Clinical Psychology & PhD along with PG Diploma in Counselling Psychology (Post-masters).
